How to enable statistics in Drupal
From the admin panel of your Drupal you can view some default statistical information. You don't have to install or enable anything to use it. After you log in to your admin panel just click on the Reports tab in the toolbar and on the page that opens you'll find buttons for the different reports. These include general information connected with your Drupal hosting account, log messages that list system events, top search phrases, etc.
In addition to these you can enable statistics for the most recently viewed pages, for top referrers, and for top pages and visitors. To do this you need to enable the Statistics module. It comes prepackaged with every Drupal installation but it's disabled by default. To enable it, click on the Modules tab in the admin panel, on the page that opens mark the checkbox for Statistics and click on the Save configuration button. This will add more reports on the Reports page. However, to activate the reports added by the Statistics module, you need to edit its settings and enable the access log option. To do this, go to Configuration tab>Statistics and on the page that is displayed mark the checkbox for Enable access log and click on the Save configuration button.
