How to install Drupal themes
You can do this in a couple of ways. One is to use the built-in automatic installer of your Drupal's admin panel, and the other is to do it manually. The first thing that you have to do, however, is to find a theme that you like and to download it to your local computer. You can find many themes in the themes section of the official Drupal site. Download a theme that's compatible with the version of your Drupal.
Then, if you want to use the built-in automatic installer, log in to the admin panel of your Drupal, click on the Appearance tab in the navigation bar at the top, and on the page that opens click on the button Install new theme. On the next page click on the Browse button, find the theme archive on your local computer and click on the Install button. The theme will be installed and you'll see a confirmation page informing you about the successful installation. After you go back to the Appearance tab of the admin panel, you'll see the new theme listed on the page. You can enable it and also set it to be the default theme.
To install a theme manually, after you download the archive to your local computer, uncompress it. Then use an FTP client to upload the uncompressed folder containing the files and subfolders for the theme to your Drupal hosting account. You have to put it inside /sites/all/themes. Sites is a direct subfolder of the root Drupal directory on your hosting account. Once you do that you can enable the theme from the admin panel of your Drupal. Alternatively, you can upload the theme archive from the Files section of the Pixie control panel, and then uncompress it directly on your hosting account.
