How to set and change the password of the MySQL master user
The MySQL database master user is created when you purchase a hosting account with us. You don't have to create it yourself but you have to set the password. This master user is used to access, create, delete and perform various tasks with your MySQL databases. The master user is only one but you can create other users and assign them to databases. Keep in mind that for security reasons it's recommend to install each web application in a separate database, to create a different user for that database and use that user when installing the particular application. It's not advisable to install applications using the credentials of the master user.
To set or change the password of the master user go to the Databases section of the Pixie control panel. In the black area on the right you'll see a link Master Username. Click on it and on the page that opens type the password in the two fields provided there; then click on the Change Password button to save it.
